A graduate student who plans to work as a management consultant, Matthew Herrera is currently pursuing his MBA at the University of California, Los Angeles, Anderson School of Business, where he focuses on issues of leadership and human capital. While earning his bachelor of science in management as an undergraduate, he made the Dean’s List several times while competing as a member of the Division I varsity water polo team. As a senior, he was chosen to become captain of the weight room. Matthew Herrera continues to participate in extracurricular activities as a graduate student, belonging to organizations such as the Management Consulting Club.
When not pursuing his academic goals, Matthew Herrera enjoys reading nonfiction titles like Blink by Malcolm Gladwell and Freakonomics by Stephen Dubner and Steven Levitt. To stay physically active, he pursues Brazilian ju-jitsu and hiking. Mr. Herrera also enjoys traveling around the world, and has visited varied locales such as New Zealand, the Dominican Republic, and Greenland.
